I Love The Smell of Fresh Baked Bread!

Yesterday my dad made his first ever loaf of bread.  Actually he made 2 loaves and he kindly gave Corey and I a loaf to take home.  He also was kind enough to share the recipe.  He wanted me to let you guys know that this is his first time making bread and he mixed 2 different recipes together so feel free to play around with the recipe if you like.

Dad's Fresh Bread

Dad's Fresh Baked Bread by Daddy!

500g plain flour
500g strong bakers flour
30g fresh yeast
250ml warm milk
250ml warm water
1 tsp salt

Combine flours in a bowl and rub in yeast.  Add water and milk and mix by hand.

Turn mixture onto bench and knead until dough is smooth and shiny (approx 20 mins).  Leave dough to rise for approx 1 1/2 hours.

After dough has risen turn onto bench and roll for 5 mins.  Halve dough and put in loaf pan or shape into rounds on a tray.

Bake at 190 degrees celsius for 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Turn onto cooling rack and tap the bottom of the loaves.  If the loaves sound hollow then the bread is ready.
