This is...Show Off Time!

So I know this is meant to go up tomorrow but in about 4 hours I am going to be on a plane on the way to Melbourne. So this is my show off time. I made this dress only a couple of days ago cause I had the day off and was just itching to do some sewing. I made it using the help of this tutorial http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=170402.0 out of a mens long sleeve button up shirt that I bought from the op shopping about 6 months ago to make into a skirt. I think I will have to go and buy another shirt for that now. The tutorial is to make a toddlers dress so I adapted it a bit to fit me. The frills on the straps and the bottom of the dress come off another dress that was too small for me and I was about to throw out. I am really in love with the dress I think it is so cute and it is going to be so cool for summer. I hope you guys love it as much as me.

Waiting, Waiting....

Why is it that they always seem to wait so long after you do an exam to give you your results. I really want them before I go to Melbourne on sunday cause otherwise I will stress about it my whole holiday. Hurry up silly university people TELL ME MY MARKS!!!

This is...What I want to be when I grow up

So I just joined in the game this is.... which was started by Three Buttons and even though I am a day late on this weeks theme I thought I might just do it anyway.....

When I grow up I want to be happy and have a family and I want to be in love. Since i was a little girl I have always wanted to grow up and have a loving husband and have a family. I want to be able to have a career and be succesful but ultimately I want to be happy and have a husband and children to love and take care of like my mum has taken care of memy whole life. I aspire to grow up and be like my mother.

Cookie Monster

So while I was sitting in my advertising lecture tonight I remembered I had something that I could post on here for my first post. Its the birthday cake I made for my mum this year. She is a fan of cookie monster and I really wanted to make an interesting cake for her so I whipped this up for her. Its the first decorated cake I have ever made so I am pretty impressed with it.

Welcome....

I decided to create a blog today so welcome to my blog. I decided I wanted to make this blog after looking at everyone elses cool blogs about the things they've been making and cooking. I am 20 years old (i'll be 21 in about 5 weeks) and I am at uni studying event management and marketing. In between assignments and study i like to sew, cook, knit and I have recently started thinking about making some kids clothes to sell on etsy. I think I need a bit more practice with my sewing but first.

At the moment I am sewing myself a 50s rock and roll skirt for my 21st party which is a Grease themed party. I'll upload some photos as soon as I am finished it.
